On March 4, 2022, Law no. Was published in the Official Gazette. 40/2022 for the completion of Law no. 448/2006 on the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities.
The only change made is that for persons with disabilities for whom the evaluation commission has previously established the classification in the degree of severe disability, the periodic reassessment can also be done at the person’s home.
It is important to note that in order to benefit from this change, the persons concerned or their legal representative will have to submit a request to the competent public institutions.
The visit to the person’s home is made after an appointment and prior information about the date and time when the reassessment will be performed.
