Trifan, Cuiubus, Bălan Law Firm welcomes the issuance of Arbitral Award no. 3/04.02.2026 by the Court of Commercial Arbitration attached to the Cluj Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a commercial dispute in which it represented the claimant, COPY TEAM SERVICE SRL.
This case is a relevant example of the importance of dialogue and efforts to resolve disputes amicably before a conflict escalates. In this matter, our client repeatedly issued notices and took steps towards conciliation, seeking to recover the debt amicably. It was only after these options had been exhausted that referral to the arbitral tribunal became necessary.
The arbitral tribunal partially upheld the claim and ordered the debtor to pay the principal amount owed, together with the ancillary amounts provided for by law, thereby confirming the merits of our client's claims.
This outcome reaffirms that alternative dispute resolution procedures – mediation, negotiation and arbitration – are modern, effective and responsible tools for the business community. Seeking an amicable resolution is not a sign of weakness, but rather a demonstration of professionalism and good faith.
